Find out that if you Jato rocket the Baja Picolina, the back wheels explode and the car gently lifts off like a 450mph is a realistic and immersive driving game, offering near-limitless possibilities and capable of doing just about anything!īeamNG in-house soft-body physics engine simulates every component of a vehicle 2000 times per second in real time, resulting in realistic and high-fidelity dynamic behavior. Get American Road map and see how high a speed you can reach on the highway without Jato rockets (470mph for me with a tuned Scarab dragster). Cruise it all the way around Jungle Rock Island. It’s difficult to control because of the propellors at low speed but get going and it’s pretty fun. Do you like boats? Not a boat game but there’s a couple functional (albeit finicky) boats. Have fun exploring outside maps (the Scarab helps with that too). Do you like flying? Not a plane game and yet when you simulate aerodynamics properly, and have full mod support, tada! An assortment of well-handling planes. Get Ghost’s Desert map, put 500hp in the adventure scarab, and try to pull some 150mph wheelies until of course, you crash. Crawler, dune jumper, race car, drag car. DSC Scarab is the ultimate vehicle in this game. Then mods really supercharge the experience by opening up areas of the game you didn’t know existed. I’ve never seen suspension geometry simulated so well. Or ricochet off, spinning end over end shedding parts. Rallying is tremendous fun, because while it’s not exactly Dirt 3, it handles really well, is very rewarding, and when you do mess up and lose control, instead of other games where you have an immersion-shattering hard slam into a tree to a complete stop, in beam you might wrap yourself around the tree. It may not be the best sim racer, but you can race on its various tracks quite well. Its party trick is the crashing of course, but you really can to anything. What I love about beam is because it focuses on physics first, everything else follows. Here's my attempt to get you into playing the game. Don't play the game by yourself, play it with the community (this means mod the every living shit out the game, if your pc can handle it). If you have automation, you can join a beamng and automation competition. I know there is probably something like that out there, and if not, make one. If you really have nothing to do, join a beammp racing competition. Maybe there is some very rough dirt road on that map, try driving on it full throttle and see how a car slowly dies out, or try and set a good rally time on that road. Unlike other rally/racing games, you can also race whatever you want (again, bc of modding), and if you can't find a interesting mod, or map, download something. This game is fun, as if you make a mistake, you can just explode. I play the game more for a Sim racer of some kind, rather then a sandbox. let's just say I didn't have the 23 or so euros. I had over 120 mods (until they got cleared somehow :( ), and over 200 when I uh. I usually drive around until I think of something interesting to do. I have 600h on the game (over a year and a bit), and I've never had this issue.
